In October 2015, we were devastated to find out our dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer; he was only 59. Life truly is too short, so we decided to start our own wedding and event floral company, which had been a dream of ours for a long time.

                   As a young girl, Amanda fell in love with floral design when she began working at our Aunt’s flower shop. For the past 14 years, she has worked in the floral industry and along side many talented floral designers. She has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise over the years. Amanda is a focused designer and has the ability to interpret a client’s ideas into a cohesive plan. Amber is an amazing artist who brings her fine eye for detail to creating wedding floral arrangements and decor. She has a degree in art education and enjoys practicing many forms of art. Emily, an experienced business manager, keeps our business running smoothly, supervises our social media accounts, along with assisting in the studio.

                     Sustainability is very important to us as a company. When able we source our flowers locally, create our own vessels, and we have eliminated the use of floral foam in our designs. Our children’s future relies on us to be more resourceful and less wasteful. Being mindful of reducing, reusing, and recycling is a huge part of Amanda Kate Designs business practice.
